Greetings!
I am Dr. Paul, Pastor of SRFBC. Allow me to welcome you to our website. I hope it proves helpful as you look at our ministry activities and family of faith.
First, something about myself: I was born in Kingsville, Texas. I have lived in the Mobile area most of my life and consider it home having attended Elementary, Junior High, and High School. I am married to the former Cynthia Jean Lambeth of Mobile, Alabama. We have four grown children: John, James, Michael, and Leah. Our three sons are married to beautiful Christian women who love the Lord and our daughter is married to a godly Christian man, all of whom we are very proud. I am also a graduate of The University of Mobile, BA, '80, The New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, M.Div., '83, and The Southern Baptist School for Biblical Studies, D.Min., '95. I have been the Pastor of SRFBC for 17 years.
Snow Road First Baptist Church had its first Sunday morning service, the Sunday after Hurricane Katrina plowed into the Gulf Coast. We gathered to pray and seek God's help for our neighbors, those harmed by the storm, and ourselves. During the proceeding weeks we helped to feed workers and provided assistance to community needs; that was six years ago. Since that time we have completed our second phase of construction which serves as the SRFBC Children Development Center during the week caring for 130 children from 6 weeks old up to K-4. On Sundays and Wednesdays it serves our Church Children's Ministry. Our Vision Task Group has begun praying, planning, and researching for the third phase of construction which will be a 500-seat sanctuary on the corner of Howells Ferry Road and Snow Road North. Pray for us as we continue to claim God's vision for His work.
